Dan Nyquist will begin his first year as head baseball coach at Crown College during the 2009-10 academic year. Nyquist was an assistant coach with the Storm baseball program last season. Nyquist graduated with a bachelor's degree in biology along with a major in Biblical Studies from Northwestern College (MN) in 2008. Dan competed on the baseball team at Northwestern for three seasons doing some catching but mostly anchoring the infield for the Eagles playing second base. His career was highlighted by the team competing in the NCCAA national tournament in 2007. Nyquist said this about taking over the Storm baseball program this year; "My hope is that I can pass along my knowledge of the game of baseball and make an impact on the development of the skills of the individual players but more importantly to make an impact on the lives of the student-athletes in their daily walk with the Lord." Dan works full-time on campus in the office of admissions as a recruitment manager and resides in Montrose, Minn with his wife Sarah.
