Head Coach
Luke Herbert
Luke Herbert will begin his first year at the helm of the Crown College Men's Basketball program starting in July 2010.
Coach Herbert comes to Crown after stops at Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, GA, and Minnesota State University - Moorhead.
While at Covenant College, Herbert served as the top assistant for Coach Kyle Taylor. During his time in Georgia, Coach Herbert led Covenant's recruiting efforts, opponent scouting, and acted as the Head JV Coach, as well as working with the academic program, team bible study, post player development, and on-floor coaching in practice and games. In addition to these duties, Herbert coordinated travel for the athletic department and was responsible for organizing athletic camps and events.
Before his time at Covenant, Herbert spent 3 years as an assistant at Minnesota State University-Moorhead under Head Coach Stu Engen.
"I feel truly blessed to be the Head Men's Basketball coach at Crown College", noted Coach Herbert. "God opened so many doors for us to get back to Minnesota and for us to be so close to family and friends. Feeling led to Crown is the most exciting part of this transition. I can't wait to see what the Lord has in store for my family and the Crown basketball family."
Coach Herbert and his wife Lindsey are expecting their first child in February.
