The men’s and women’s cross country team ushered in a new era in Crown College athletic affiliation by competing in the NCAA Regional meet at Grinnell College in Iowa on Saturday, November 15.  Running in frigid temperatures and high winds, the men’s teams finished in 25th place and the women were 26th.  Nebraska Wesleyan won the men’s division and Wartburg College took top honors for the women.

Several Storm runners surged forward with personal best times at their own invitational held at Crown on Saturday, October 18. Six colleges joined the Crown cross country team in action. Concordia Moorhead won both the men's and women's team titles. Other teams included UW-Superior, Minnesota-Morris, St. Scholastica, North Central University (MN), and Presentation College (SD).

On Friday, October 3, the Crown College men and women runners set several personal records and one school record at the BluGold Invitational, hosted by the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire. Three women and three men set all-time personal bests; and senior captain Seth Brickley set an all-time school record. Two other women equaled their previous personal best times.
