Athlete Testimonies

"My advice to high school students I meet now, is to plan a future out but be sure to stay open to all the possibilities. I cant imagine being as happy anywhere else. God has pushed, taught, and stretched me in so many new directions the brief time Ive been here at Crown, it makes me excited to see how this all fits into the big picture of my life."

Stephanie Lally – Women's Soccer

"Athletics at Crown serve a two-fold purpose. First, they are a way to develop your faith in Christ Jesus with help from coaches, teammates and athletic staff. Secondly, they are a way to use your God-given talents and compete on great teams against some great competition. I cannot say enough about the blessings the atheletics at Crown have brought to my life. For those that want to go to a Christian school and still be serious about their sport: Crown is it."

Adam Hayes – Football

"I have enjoyed Crown athletics because of the people I meet and the relationships that come from being together  nearly every day for two and a half months in a high intensity environment.  I love the competition and the opportunity to improve at the sport that I enjoy so much.  I also feel that being a part of the athletic program is like having a separate family within our bigger Crown community. It has definitely been an experience that I will never forget!"

Lovina Kramer – Volleyball

“The experiences that I've had through athletics here at Crown will have a lasting impact on my life. I've gained countless life lessons that I will carry with me forever. Not only did I become a better player on the field, I became a better person off the field.”

Nathan Budish – Men's Soccer

Playing basketball has been challenging at times and sometimes I even wanted to throw in the towel. However, the individuals that surrounded me gave me the strength to push through and this has been the real reward.   I am now very excited to see what we can do because we have a great group of guys as well as coaches we can all follow who push us to grow as players and people.

Jake Jarvis – Men's Basketball

Storm baseball has been a great experience for me. It has been awesome playing for my teammates and coaches who are also my brothers in Christ. I can't think of a better place to play the greatest sport on earth than at Crown College.

Ryan Burkhart - Baseball

I love playing softball for Crown because of the relationships that I have built with the other players. You form friendships that last on and off the field. We are always there for each other whether we are going out having fun or doing homework together.

Kartrina Raph - Softball

I came to Crown looking for a community in Christ and a place to display my God given talent but it’s been so much more than that for me.  Being a part of the women’s basketball team has been a blessing in many ways.  Not only are we a team, but we are a family, and being so far away from home its nice to have that support and love.  We are able to exercise our faith as well as play the sport we love at the same time, which is something that is hard to find at any other school.  Having an athletic program centered around Christ is really what’s important and Crown fulfills that.
