05/12 Mens Basketball

St. Bonifacius, Minn - Crown College Head Men's Basketball Coach Jon Barsness  announced today that Jacob Jensen from Brainerd, Minn and Lake Region Christian High School has been accepted and plans on attending Crown College this coming fall and informed the coaching staff of his intention to play basketball for the Storm.  Jensen is a 6'6" forward who scored over 1,000 points in his high school career and averaged 15.8 points per game and 10.9 rebounds per game.  "We are excited that Jacob has decided to attend Crown College and will join our basketball program next year.  We believe he is a great fit for the school, our basketball family, and gives us much needed size and rebounding in the post as well as the ability to step out and knock down the outside jump shot.  Jake's best basketball is ahead of him and we look forward to helping him grow and mature as a basketball player, student and man of faith."  Jensen said this about choosing Crown, "I felt very comfortable on the campus and with the current basketball guys.  I feel like I have the chance to compete right away and help the team become successful.  I am excited about working out this summer and improving my game for the next level."  Crown College competes in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) and at the NCAA Division III level and has a mission to provide a biblically based education for Christian leadership in the Christian and Missionary Alliance, the church at large, and the world.  Crown College is a fully accredited college which currently offers 33 majors and 11 competitive sports programs.
