2009 Football Schedule Announced
April 2nd, 2009 Saint Bonifacius, Minn - The Crown College football team announced it's 2009 football schedule today. Coming off a 6-4 2008 campaign it's second winning season in a row and an improvement from 5-4 in 2007 the Storm are looking to add to that winning tradition in 2009. Crown will open up the season on September 5th on the road against Augsburg College from the MIAC. The home opener is on September 12th against independent Macalester College from St. Paul, Minn. The Storm host Trinity Bible College from N.D. on September 19th and play Northwestern College to open the UMAC schedule on September 26th in St. Paul, Minn. The following Saturday, October 3rd, is Homecoming weekend on the campus of Crown College and the Storm play host to second year program The College of St. Scholastica. The Storm hit the road for their second road conference contest when they face The University of Minnesota, Morris on October 10th. The following week the Storm host their final home contest of 2009 when they clash with conference foe Martin Luther College on October 17th. After a bye week the Storm play their annual UMAC Dome game at HHH Metrodome on Friday October 30th and finish up the season traveling to Eureka College on Saturday November 7th.
