Brickley Leads Storm Track Runners at St. Olaf
Senior Seth Brickley led a contingent of eight Crown runners at the St. Olaf indoor track meet held on February 27 and 28 in Northfield, MN. Brickley finished 3rd in the mile out of over 40 competitors running a time of 4:25. Joining Brickley was Cherie Hecimovich, Megan Kunde, Shauna Palmer, Erika Stampfl, Marquise Dixon, Derrick Howell, and Jason Masters. “We had strong efforts from everyone”, said Coach Rick Peterson. “The meet was dominated by strong MIAC Conference teams and Seth (Brickley) ran with the best of them. Erika (Stampfl) was also very competitive and briefly took the lead in her heat. Coach Emmett (Hill) is doing a great job with the sprinters. We have a good nucleus of participants and would like to see our numbers grow for the outdoor season.” The next meet will be on Saturday, April 4.
