DeVries Collects Post Season Award
The Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) announced post season awards for men's and women's basketball on Wednesday and sophomore forward Mary DeVries (Chester, MT/Chester) was selected as All-Conference Honorable Mention in women's basketball. The only Crown representative on either the men's or women's post season conference awards list DeVries led the Lady Storm in scoring (12.0ppg) and rebounds (7.2) and led the team in scoring 10 times on the season with a season high 22 points in a loss to Finlandia in January. The 5'10" forward played in all 22 games this season and ranked first on the team in free throw attempts getting to the line 134 times making 75% of her free throws. Interim Head Coach Brittany Stroop leaned heavily on the sophomore forward when she took the team over mid-way through the season to give the team a constant threat in the paint against tough UMAC competition.
