Golf Takes Second at Bethany Lutheran Invite
The men's golf team had a strong showing at the Bethany Lutheran Invitational on Friday afternoon as they finished 2nd with all seven UMAC schools present. Seniors Josh Ottoson and Travis Berry led the way for the Storm posting a 79 each, while junior Jeff Groth came in with an 85 and sophomore Gatjeak Gew came in with a 90 to round out the scoring for Crown.
Martin Luther was the top team on the day with a 314. Crown finished with a 333. Coach Bollant was happy with his team's effort on a historically tough course. "Le Sueur is a tricky course that requires you to keep the ball in the fairway," said Bollant.
Crown, along with the rest of the UMAC golf teams will meet again on Monday, September 15 at Island View Golf Course, the home course for the Storm, as they host the UMAC preview tournament.
