New Assistant Joins Cross Country Coaching Staff
Saint Bonifacius, Minn - Athletic Director Jim Hunter and Head Men's and Women's Cross Country Coach Rick Peterson announced the hiring of Jackie Johnson as a new assistant coach for the Storm Cross Country program for the fall of 2009 competitive season. Jackie has 10 years of competitive running experience in cross country and track programs at various levels. She competed, and was the captain, at Bethel University (MN). Her passion for running began early life; "I was an athlete who found my wings at an early age and running has been a foundation for my success in other areas such as education, jobs, and my role as wife and mother. As a coach I hope to inspire others to use running as a motivator in their life experiences. I want to help the runners build their own sense of motivation for running and see how God is using running in their lives." Johnson is completing a graduate degree in teaching and resides in Waconia, Minn with her husband and three sons.
