Ottoson Player of the Year; Team Fourth
The men's golf team competed on Friday and Saturday in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference Championship at Alexandria Country Club in Alexandria, Minnesota. The Storm sat in second place after the first round, fueled by a tournament leading 75 by senior Josh Ottoson. Freshman Steve Tisch also came up big in the first round, posting an 83.
Unfortunately, Crown was unable to make a move to the top on Saturday despite a strong second round by senior Travis Berry who shot a 79. Ottoson on the other hand, was able to hold on to his two-stroke lead by shooting an 80 in the second round, to become the third golfer from Crown to earn Player of the Year honors in as many years. This is also Ottoson's second All-Conference award.
