Storm Adds Another Hoops Recruit
St. Bonifacius, Minn - Head Men's Basketball Coach Jon Barsness has announced David Glover (Burnsville, MN/Bethany Academy) has made his intentions to enroll and compete on the men's basketball team at Crown College. David a 2008 graduate of Bethany Academy in Bloomington, Minn spent his freshman year at Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato, Minn but did not compete in men's basketball. During his senior year in high school David averaged 17 points and 11 rebounds and was named first team all-conference. Glover a 6'4" forward was also named second team all-conference his junior year and scored more than 950 points in his high school career. Coach Barsness said this about David, "We are fortunate to have gotten a young man of David's caliber to join our men's basketball team next fall. He comes from a very well coached high school program and we know we are getting a fundamentally sound basketball player who will add depth to our front line next year but more importantly we know we are getting a great Christian young man who will add value on and off the basketball court to Storm Basketball." Glover joins Jacob Jensen (Brainerd, Minn/Lake Region Christian HS) as members of the first recruiting class for Head Coach Jon Barsness. Crown College is a part of the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) that is comprised of eight full-time member schools from Minnesota, South Dakota and Wisconsin and all are Division III members of the NCAA. Located a half-hour west of the Twin Cities, the mission of Crown College is to provide a biblically based education for Christian leadership in The Christian and Missionary Alliance, the church-at-large, and the world. Crown College is a fully accredited college which currently offers 33 majors and 11 competitive sports programs.
