Storm Struggle on Road against Eagles
Saint Paul, Minn - The Crown College Storm women’s basketball team traveled across town on Saturday to take on the Eagles from Northwestern College. Looking for their first victory of the season, the Storm were tied 6-6 five minutes into the contest. They held a 2- point advantage through the sixth minute of the game before the Eagles went on a 25-0 run to take the lead for good.
The Storm did not get any closer than the half time score as the Eagles dominated the remaining twenty minutes of action. They scored on virtually every trip down the floor and held the Storm to 30% shooting and forced 26 turnovers to win easily 91-34.
The Storm had no player score in double-figures on the night. The loss drops the Storm to 0-8 in conference play and 0-13 overall. Crown takes to the hardwood again Friday, February 5th, when they play host to Martin Luther College. Tip off is scheduled for 5:30p.m.
