09/10 Volleyball

The 2008 Crown volleyball team was ready to turn the tables on one of their opponents.  After suffering three sets to nothing sweeps in each of their last five matches, the Storm returned the favor as they defeated host, North Central University three sets to none on Tuesday night.

Freshmen Naomi Anderson and Joy Murry had breakout performances, while senior Annette Case managed the young offense to near perfection.  Anderson led the way with 13 kills in 28 attempts for a .393 attack percentage.  She also tallied nine aces and contributed three assisted blocks to the effort.  Murry, the libero for the night racked up 15 digs and two aces of her own.  Case was as consistent as ever contributing three kills of her own to go along with 41 assists with only one error from the setter position.

The Storm are off until Saturday, September 20, when they travel to the College of St. Catherine's in St. Paul, Minnesota to do battle with the University of Dallas (Tex.) and the University of Dubuque (Iowa).  Matches begin at 10 am and 12 pm respectively.
