Bill Adamson begins his first year leading the Storm after spending the the past 2 years as the head men's basketball coach at Itasca Community College. Prior to being named the head coach at Itasca Bill was an assistant for four years before assuming control over the program. For five years prior to his run at Itasca Community College Adamson was the head girl's basketball coach at Grand Rapids High School where he has taught middle and high school mathematics since 1999.
Adamson was a former standout basketball player at Greenway High School before attending Itasca Community College for two years while at Itasca Bill served as team captain. He than transferred to The College of St. Scholastica where he again was named team captain while obtaining his mathematics teaching degree and finishing out his playing career.
Adamson believes that you get the most out of players by building strong relationships with them and focusing on the positive through constant reinforcement and deeply caring about the student-athletes on and off the court. Adamson will strive to assemble and guide a team of women who possess traits that will challenge and benefit not only their team, but themselves, their community and most importantly, their faith. Seeking strong Christian recruits who exhibit dignity in their everyday conduct and are secure academically as well as athletically will be Adamson's main goal while leading the Crown basketball program.
Adamson is also the Assistant Director of Athletics at Crown College and also the Compliance Coordinator.
Bill has been married to his wife Debbie for 22 years and they have a daughter Bethani, age 12.
