Cross Country Top Stories

ST. PAUL -- The Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) released its 2009 Fall Academic All-Conference award lists on Wednesday. In all, a record-355 student-athletes from 13 institutions received recognition for an award that has the following academic requirements:

1. Post a 3.50 or better semester grade point average based on a 4.0 scale.

Grinnell, Iowa - Near perfect running weather greeted the Crown cross country team on Saturday, November 14 at the NCAA Regional Meet held in Grinnell, Iowa.  In the playoff format meet; the top two teams and seven individuals move onto the NCAA national meet.  Though the Storm didn’t have any runners advance; most set all time personal records.

11/16 Cross Country

St. Bonifacius, Minn - Rain and mud threatened to steal the show at the UMAC Conference Cross Country Meet hosted by Crown College on Saturday, October 31.  Nine UMAC teams competed on a course that at points resembled a mud run.  The Crown women earned a 7th place team finish and the men were 8th.  St. Scholastica won the team championship for both the men and women.
