
Kimmie Moehring

Kimmie Moehring enters her third season as head volleyball coach for the Storm. Moehring took over the program in 2007 and has worked to build a more skilled and competitive program for the Storm.
Prior to coming to Crown, Moehring gained valuable experience coaching for her alma mater Minnetonka JO volleyball program, directing and coaching at various summer camps, Minnesota Select Volleyball and continues to coach for Crossfire Volleyball Club.
Moehring earned her B.A. in Elementary Education with an emphasis in communication arts and literature from Bethel University in 2006. While at Bethel, she was a four year starter at both outside hitter and libero during her senior year. Moehring earned MIAC All-Conference honors twice and was named the Defensive Player of the Year her senior year. She currently holds the record for career digs per game at 3.86 at Bethel University.
In addition to her coaching duties for the Storm, Moehring is employed by Crown College as a Senior Recruitment Manager for the undergraduate admissions department.
Coach Moehring resides in Minnetonka, Minnesota.
Lauren Cuthbertson
Assistant Coach
Coach Cuthbertson joins the coaching staff this year as an assistant with the Storm volleyball program. A 2006 graduate of Bethel University with a degree in K-12 Art Education Cuthbertson is a native of Wheaton, IL where she played for Sports Performance volleyball club, a nationally known and well respected program. She had an excellent career as a right side and setter at Bethel University. She has spent the past few years coaching at St. Paul Academy and Crossfire Volleyball. Cuthbertson will primarily be working with the setters this year.
Cuthbertson currently works full-time in Plymouth with for The Lazarus Project.

James Yang
Assistant Coach
James Yang enters his second season as an assistant coach for the Storm but his seventh year with athletics at Crown. A 2008 graduate from Crown College with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and Coaching degree, Yang had an excellent career as a defensive back for the Storm Football team earning All-Conference First Team awards his sophomore, junior and senior seasons. He is also the current record holder at Crown for the longest interception returned for a touchdown at 88 yards. "I am thrilled to have James back on our coaching staff this season," Moehring says about the return of James to the coahing staff.
Coach Yang’s volleyball playing experience includes two years in high school and numerous outdoor tournaments. James coached the 5th and 6th grade volleyball teams at Waconia as well as the U-16 and U-17 JO volleyball teams in Waconia.
Coach Yang works full-time as a service technician for Mediacom. He resides in Waconia, Minnesota.
